  • Jeep vs. Bronco, for a rig pig..

I'm looking for a vehicle to drive to the rig, and mess around in..
Seeing as how i would drive this vehicle possibly 400+ miles non stop one way, what would be more reliable? I obviously want 4x4 and a small lift and 33 or 35s
What would you pick, even something comparable
Also want to keep it under 7-8k

Thinking of trading the f150 for something cool, how uncomfortable can a nice 96 bronco be?

man, it won't be horrible, but after driving your truck, you're probably not going to like it...

now, if it puts $20k cash in your pocket? meh... but you're going to burn some fuckin' fuel it that old hog too!

sorry for being the stick in the mud

            You know my answer.

I've driven mine on a couple of 1100+ mile trips and I love it. Sure id rather be in my comfy ride and it rides like a big golf cart, but I'm in it cheap and not worried about shit breaking because I built it and I could probably rebuild it on the trail.

Broncos are not necessarily reliable. My 90 Blazer was a much better built vehicle then my 90 Bronco ever was. All that being said I would go with a Jeep. Very reliable and unlimited aftermarket. Put a nice pair of suspension seats in it and the ride is great. Not sure 400 miles great but still not bad.

All that being said, Cooter is 100 percent right on the F150 VS either.

Put a 4wheeler in the back of your truck. Done.

                    Van is Tits.
OJ Bronco/ Same Vintage Blazer could be nice but they are tough to find clean anymore.

                    I'd say a cheap TJ.

Why not an older 4 runner?

I forgot about them.. I just need something reliable and comfortable and big enough for a 6'4" 260 pound man, and my clothes and shit, i hate tearing up my truck and putting tons of miles on it.

4runner, but be aware that the performance will not be what your f150 provides.
