After being stuck there for a weekend, one of my buddies and I have a theory that the arch in St. Louis is actually a giant magnet for the entire surrounding area....but not a magnet of the metal attracting type....I'll let you guys fill in the blanks on what type of magnet we've called it.

We used to joke that they turn it on once in a while to keep the population up, but appears they just leave it on 24x7 these days.

Its funny watching this because this is were my mom and all her family grew up. I used to visit twice a year to that neighborhood. When I was a kid it wasn't a bad area but once I was a teenager it started getting worse and it just got worse every year after that. Most my family lives about 30 minutes west of Ferguson now. They keep posting videos on facebook of armored vehicle running down the roads.
