Never totally out of it, unless letting it collect dust for 5 years counts. It helps when the performance/classic/specialty car isn't a daily.

Needed more room and an extra car was no longer in the budget.

That coupe was a cobbled together mess though. And even worse by the time I bought it. Ended up making out like a bandit on it though, but somewhere in Gainesville, someone is likely not happy with their purchase.

I've had my Cobra since '96, I drove it daily til I bought a '02 GT as my daily. In '05 a GT, and in '09 a GT glass roofed pony. Now I have my '12 5.0. I don't have any kids living at home so I don't need a truck or Expy.
My Stangs have always been what I need to get around as a daily. They are pony cars that have decent power ,some room and look pretty sweet dressed up. Before my Stangs I had two SC's and then my '81 Z-28. So I've really never been out of the "game" I guess...

I'm on my third Fox coupe - owned it since June, 2003. It hasn't been my DD since early 2010 so now it's nothing more than a toy.

I've got three kids and another on the way so the Fox won't see much love any time soon. To that end, I've considered selling it but I don't think I'll be able to. The Fox was the car to have in the 90's (high school) and it has a place in my heart that no other car can take.

What I really want is a nice kit car... something I can build myself in my garage (hopefully a shop by the time I get to it) and then drive all over town and never see another one on the road.

Started to become cynical after having so many issues with my last Mustang. Just wanted to try something different after being a "Ford guy" for so many years. It was a refreshing change. Ultimately, I'm more satisfied with my truck than anything else at this point. I guess you can chalk that up to getting older.

My first stang was a 89 4 banger auto. My second was a was a 96 V6 5 speed. T.hird was the 05 I Fucked off drinking one night. Took a while to come to terms with that but now I admit it freely and won't do it ever again. Really really liked that car and planned on having it til it or I died. My fourth was old Blue. A 93 Gt and it was a shitty car lol. But I liked the he out if it.

As mentioned before lots of stupid shit kept breaking and the last time it died I didn't bother with it. Guy down the street took it off my hands and now it's wrecked and just sitting there with what looks like a doner car to fix it but nothing is happening with it and probably won't with all the cars already there.

I've been wanting another one and bad lately it seems. Every time I see or hear a new 5.0 I get all giddy. Watching need for speed recently didn't help that at all.

But for now we have the 99 civic Wich goes up for sale in a couple days. The 2012 focus and the suburban.

I've always liked trucks and love the suburban. With my kids and three of my sisters kids I'm glad I have it.

Now lately the wife been saying let's go check out the 2014 5.0 and I'm just avoiding it like the plague. I know if I drive it I will get it. With the focus not paid off and her not working with a newborn it's just stupid.

So for now I'll admire from a distance and when the time is right I'll get one....... Hopefully

I've been out of the game for 7 months and miss it every minute. I sold off the toy to save up for new 15/16 stang. Will see what it brings one yr from now or so. Just want to wait to see what bugs come up since its a new model and how the IRS will stand up.

Still have my '03 Mach 1. It will be the last Mustang I buy and it's run great since day one.

I still have my 2000 GT that I picked up with 7K miles on it. 14 years later it sits in my garage and collects dust. It's in great shape and only has 80K original miles on it. I bet less than 500 miles have been put on it in the last 5 years. In 2008 I got a G35S, in 2010 I got a G37S, and now I have a 2014 Q50S. All three of them outperform the mustang and do it more comfortably. I only have the Mustang still because I'm emotionally attached to it. I'm not in to Mustangs anymore at all really. I like the new 5.0 and of course the GT500 is awesome, it's just not my cup of tea anymore. The Mustang will be for sale soon to make room in my garage for a GTR. I just have to get there emotionally and save up a little cash.
