I just consider myself between Mustangs for the time-being. Got rid of my 13' last year after a position change at work made it impractical as a daily.
I've been keeping my eyes peeled for the right deal on a 93' Cobra...that will most likely be my next one.70' Chevelle RagTop

I run 6.80s in my Heads Cam LS car on motor and my LS3 car runs 7.20s on motor and its a 6spd
I think a ford built right will stomp an ls car, although it'll cost twice as much to do it.
Example:
Built 363 can do 500whp
Built ls3 can do 500whp
320rwhp. 7.67 @ 90mph 1.7 60'
DD: 2004 GMC Sierra VHO 6.0 LQ9 324whp 350wtrq

Only reason I'd get away from them is the frustration of working on them. Have my 92 LX power steering rack / rear main seal / oil pan seal issue right now that makes me wish the dam car would just crush me while I'm under it.
No power tools.
Jack stands.
Summer heat.
No one helping (don't want it anyway)
= Misery for me.
But I am powering through it and would rather have the car VS no fun car at all.

This is the first time I've been Foxless since 1981, and even though I swore I'd never get another one, I find myself browsing CL all the time, and am seriously wanting to talk to Jeremy about that silver coupe. If I do get another Fox though, I'd like to get a Fairmont wagon this time around. Something I've never had would be cool. I do still have the '12 though, but it's all stock again, just a daily driver.Last edited by SonicblueGT03; 08-11-2014, 01:31 PM.

Because mine has been a dead reliable car for 10+ years requiring only oil changes.
Sounds retarded but I never thought buying a sports car with decent mods would be the best investment I ever made in my future.
Anyways 10+ years of daily driving and never having a car payment has been very rewarding. The camaro has literally been a blessing since it entered my life.
Everyone else I knew in the "game" always went too far, throwing too much money into a car, or getting too far under payments. my little $6500 beater I bought ten years ago has saved me from a lot of debt and helped me save a lot of coin when it came time for my wife and I to purchase a home last year when we turned 28

Whatever Mike! Your eating to many Fruit Loops, LMAO. There is a reason you dont see a ford motor in the Top 10 on Street Outlaws
Your coupe isnt that fast for being a Heads Cam Car. It sounds good. But you can take a Bolt On stalled LS1 and beat your best time all day every day. It is what it is man. I have love for the 5.0 Coupes! Just not thier motors. They dont win races and cost WAY TO MUCH to make fast! All 3 of my LS cars run Faster then 7.50s. Hell I just drove The Joker to Alabama and Tennessee and back to Texas and knocked down 25 mpg and ran 7.50s not even a month before. No 5.0 Pushrod motor with Heads and Cam and Intake will beat a LS Car mod for mod. PERIODGOD BLESS TEXAS

Having one was fun for me when I was younger and more into chasing women and going to the street races and stuff. Even just the thrill of encountering other sports cars at a light with a long, empty straightaway in front of us was a lot of fun. Now that I'm older and more responsible, that doesn't appeal to me anymore. And the penalties for street racing are way worse now. And I care a lot more about my insurance going up due to speeding tickets, so I don't feel like I would get much reward or use out of daily driving a sports car. Maybe if I lived where there were better roads and less traffic, but I don't. Plus, now I'm a giant old fat guy with bad knees, so I pretty much avoid getting in and out of anything other than my big ol' truck or my old lady's SUV. And heck, I enjoy camping now more than anything else, so a truck makes a lot more sense.
I just can't come up with one single reason why I would want a sports car, and even if that ever changes, it would have to be something a lot better than a Mustang.
