  • Why'd you get out the game....

Assuming you sons of bitches have ever owned a mustang. Why don't you own one anymore? I've owned and built a fox body or two in my life time. Threw as much money as I could when I could but my last build was my 87 T-Top that took me forever to finish, mostly because this was the first mustang build I attempted after having a set of twins. Now I own a 95 and so far, so good. It runs well, I finally got the AC working and some exhaust leaks fixed but man, when something small comes up, it's like pulling teeth, bro. I don't want to do shit anymore. Am i getting old, bro? Is this hobby not for me anymore? Idk. I'm tired bro......bro

Bought my 09 GT new while we lived Corpus Christi. Moved here and got tired of driving the stick shift in traffic. Plus my body was tired of climbing in and out of the thing. Traded it in on a 14 Ram R/T for the wife. Plus the Ram fits better with the old Mopar fleet that we have.

Yep for sure....never did like the feel of the clutch. I prefer the old mechanical clutch where you could feel it. Anyway the wife kept talking about wanting a new sport truck so......she thinks she got one. I figure I got something I could haul old Mopar parts in. It was a win, win.

Wanted something with more room, towing capacity, more comfortable and better to take people around in. I happy with the explorer but still want a stang at times.

I will say that I have 10 times more fun in my kart, and I wouldn't be able to tow it around with a mustang.

I had 3 back when I thought they were important. Sold them because I realized what was important.

Now they are classified as a discretionary toy and I'm looking to get another, now that I don't have any very young kids that suck up the paycheck, or will be something that doesn't put a burden on any other obligation or savings contribution.

                Priorities....

Last one I owned was an '03 Cobra that I saved three years to buy and bought new. After less than 5k miles, I upped the power to 520/550 and drove the piss out of it until 2010, then sold it. Those cars were something else, I just haven't found one that blows my hair back like that one did. I'm older now, so I can wait longer for the right car. I'll own another one eventually, crazy fast car that is, not necessarily a mustang.

I was out for good until my fairmont finally landed in my lap.
Now i cant wait to push the loud peddle. Its nice being older with a better income. If the car isnt right itll sit in the corner until im ready to mess with it. I am never selling it and it can rot in the yard for my ammusment.

Not very kid friendly, and you can't have much fun with it here as it's in the garage for 9 months out of the year.

It's no longer an inexpensive hobby.

It's probably not a good idea to try and daily a 400-500 hp car either, not that I'm putting out those kinds of numbers but if I was, I'm pretty sure shit would be breaking all the time.

I'm 34 years old... I've had many mustangs and currently have 2. A 92 Coupe and a 14 GT for my DD. Both are sticks... I hate autos. I also have a wife and 2 kids (6 and 3), a good job, mortgage, etc.
