Between the two, I'd go with the 13/14 and never look back. Maybe just enough mild mods to make it a little more fun.

After checking out the Hellion TT kit on a Coyote, I'm sold on a '13... Hopefully one will be here soon...

You're going to love it. Have you driven/rode in a 13/14 yet? Talk to Rob (yellowstang) before you go slapping twins on it. I assume this will mostly be a toy, but he might have some input from his experiences with his old vert. I'd also hit up Brooks. He seems to be the only honest local guy/shop there is these days that I haven't heard or experienced a horror story from, of course assuming you're not going to install it yourself. You could always have Don help, he can fit in all the tight spaces..

Guy I worked with had a 2010 or so, black and grey GT500. That thing was a beast. He put a Kenne Bell on it with a different pulley and it was pushing over 800 HP to the wheels. I know he did a bunch of other shit to it but I can't remember now. To be so damn fast it was very smooth to drive. He use to run it down at Ennis all the time before he blew the engine up. It held up really well for the abuse it took.
          Whos your Daddy?

For modding, I'd rather have the GT500.

I would expect the GT500 to hold it's value better in the long run. Not sure how long you plan on keeping it though.

                  I sorta just asked similar.

In the long run a 14gt and dumping 50k in it sounded like a better solution.

I forgot about Brooks, thanks for the note. I haven't driven a 13/14 yet, if you can believe that...

It will be a toy. Don has fat stubby little fingers that may or may not be of value...

Possibly, but I'm looking for someone that has done the basics to it first. I'm a tight ass... which is why I'm looking for a 13.

If you're planning to keep it stock, GT500 all day long. It has more power and will retain its value much better.

If you're modding it, get yourself a 5.0. And if you just have to have forced induction, plan on buying a forged shortblock at some point because it will be shitting the bed at 650rw for any period of time.

Best answer is to surf S197forum.net for a used car that already has most of the mods you want. You will basically get them for free that way.

That was kind of my mindset....

Thanks for the S197 forum reference, I've been looking on SVTp

Thinking about trading/selling my mustang to get a cheaper more practical car (Focus ST). I'll list for sale here for now, but if nothing works out, I'll be returning it to stock and trading it in. Car is a 2013 Mustang GT Premium. I've been the one owner since new and it was purchased...

There are more 2011s and 2012s in the For Sale forum, but you were specific about '13-14 GTs.

Yeah, that first one would've been f'in perfect... Saw it last week. The second is a base model and the third has like 25k miles.

I think I'm on the hunt for a black m6 premium, track pack, brembo and recaro (if possible on seats).

Either way, will be black and would like to keep under 10k miles... 'preciate the help!

Rod IIRC, and ventilated the block. I know it took out most of the engine and was going to cost a ridiculous amount to fix.
