Here's the trip the wife and I are taking in two weeks. Spending 11 days total but would like more time, especially after hearing some of these suggestions. Danny, I'm trying to add your route now. Thanks.
A couple of days in Yosemite and day & half in Sequoia Nat Forest. Everything else is one day or less.

It is beautiful the whole way up the coast. I lived 8 miles from Bodega Bay until I was 25 and driving those roads is one of the things I miss the most living here.
