Thanks for the really good advice. I will look into the law firm when I get back. I think I'll also pull another credit report just to see how it shows up. I have disputed items many years ago and successfully cleaned up my credit score to the order of a 730 or so.
I know on a long enough timeline and with consistent effort it will be that way again.
Yep I had to learn the hard way that one is too many haha! I turned into a bad boy again for a while but eventually I got real tired of it.

Attorney's name is Scott, Parnell & Associates. Found a ton of info on them, mostly links for attorneys who will help you sue them when THEY sue you.......
They are a law firm that sues people on behalf of creditors, in my case FIA card services, AKA Bank of America.
I'm looking into it more.

He is an attorney with a bar number and specializes in credit litigation. I know this thing is approaching the 4 year statute of limitation limit and that's why the urgency on their part. Anyway I just got home, I'll look into it when I get some time tomorrow.

Being in debt and having good credit is two different things. Makes me think of this...

Ok what state do you live in? TX
Who is the original creditor? BANK of America
How much is the debt for? 14,600
What is the debt for? Credit Card
What is the name of the "law firm" that is contacting you? I don't have the paperwork with me and I'm down in Mexico..
When was the date of last activity (defined as the first month you went 30 days past due that subsequently led to 60, then 90, and eventually charged off) I believe it was Aug of 2011

I had this great conversation with a coworker the other day. This guy is ten years older than me and pretty well off. He was a partner at his old company and they sold the business about ten years ago. He paid off his house with the proceeds and has been living debt free since. He went to get a mortgage to buy his daughter a condo to live in while she goes to TCU and he had no credit to speak of. The bank wanted him to pay 7% on a mortgage. Hilarious.Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.
