I'd prefer to be somewhere that an ambulance/police can get to me within 5 minutes if needed.

I recently had an interesting 25 minute 911 call, where I was transfered 3 different times because they couldn't tell who's jurisdiction we were in.

What is it with women and the lack of logic? Did I just type that? Bahaha!!!

When seconds count, police can be there in minutes...but not < 30.

I've decided that 9 times out of time the person with a problem can be thrown in a vehicle and driven to the ambulance - which is what we will most likely do. Or the time my boy busted his head on the fireplace, I just drove to the hospital at a spirited speed and damn the police until I get there.

I'd love to live further out but I can't stand commuting any further. I would rather find a place way out somewhere for a getaway, but not day-to-day living.

I live in a housing development that is outside of the city (edge of Denton and Wise county)....been here 8 years now, can't see myself going back to living in the city limits. Lived in Trophy Club before we moved out here....after moving out here I realized just how much I hated it there. I'd rather commute distance than deal with local traffic like they have over that way. I can't believe how ridiculous it's become over in the Keller area....377 on any day of the week is awful anymore.

I've been shopping for land for a while, getting more serious lately. We'll probably move further out once my daughter graduates highschool.

I'm perfectly satisfied with where I live and currently have no intention of ever moving again.

Maybe. Or near Christchurch, NZ, or northern Italy/southern Austria. Who knows.

I have actually been looking into moving to Canyon Lake in between Austin and San Antonio. It would only be about a 30 min commute for me to SA and we have shops there. Housing is pretty decently priced too.

I'm with you there but on 4 acres in 'Da Hood It's peaceful enough but I think I just got it used to it.

My parents had a house on Lake Whitney. I liked to stay out there for a weekend but I got to missing convenience things like high speed internet and not having to drive more than ten minutes to the store.

Hell yes! In fact, I plan to be living in the most remote county (Hinsdale) in the Continental US in less than 12 months. No stop lights, no fast food, no chain stores, no traffic, no noise, no pollution, and the list goes on.

I hear they are short on stress as well.

I'd love to, but the area i like and the acreage I want is in the millions. Maybe in a couple of years.
