From what I understand the villagers themselves are the root cause of spreading the disease. its at the deceased funeral/burial where the ebola is spreading like wild fire . They are being forbidden from traditional burials due to the aid workers confiscating and burning the bodies in order to have some sort of control of the outbreak. This in turn pisses off the locals from saying their last goodbyes to their loved ones... many have been caught trying to "steal" bodies. its a mess.

The problem with the funerals is that the savages over there insist on dressing up the body and touching it.

The virus is spread from sweat too. It isn't like they have an abundance of air conditioning over there. I agree that it wouldn't spread as easily here but if it mutates into something more resilient it could be bad news.

I just keep remembering the Spanish flu epidemic back around 1920, it killed 3% of the world's population at the time. Today that would be 200 million people dead, that would fuck EVERYTHING up.

Depends on where that 200 million came from. If it stayed mainly in Africa, India and China That would barely touch there population. If it spread to Europe and North America then it would lead to bigger problems.

Not saying it would happen but you could contain it through tighter screenings at the airports. Still 200 million is less than 3% of the worlds population so if it was divided between all countries it would be a small dent.
