Why would anyone eat canned fruit?

Actually those weren't that bad.... I don't think I ever reconstituted them though, just ate the wafer.

Only one I do miss is #8, the ol' ham steak. Mix it with everything in half of the bag and you're money.

I mean, can anybody answer that? I can see the can if you’re in the army, but fresh fruit it’s available, it’s there, it’s 2 aisles over.

I can store it for years without worry so that when power goes out or something happens, I'm not stuck with fruits and veggies I cannot eat because they aren't refrigerated or kept climate controlled.

I have a whole closet full of canned and freezedried goods.. we keep fresh fruit around but when another derecho comes thru and power is out for a week or it freezes over, that canned stuff will keep us going.

Sometimes I just want the sugary glucose syrup. Fresh fruit doesn't come with that.

I only buy fruit that is canned its own juices. Especailly peaches...

I like fruit cocktail with cherries but I only get it in the plastic containers. The metal ones are just too syrupee and taste of metal.
