BTW - its 25oz of .999% silver. Silver was $28/oz today so $700 in silver regardless. It has monetary value even if you had to scrap itLast edited by 8mpg; 02-02-2011, 01:12 AM.

Just make sure when you get it it is the 2010 and not 2011. The reason they're selling so high is because the production was put on hold at the mint last year until the Silver Eagle demand calmed down. By then, it was already the last quarter, so they could only mint so much.

LOL @ 9.75 CA sales tax!!! That state sucks ass! I'm glad I got out of there when I did.
Also, if you're buying it at that price, make sure you get it up on ebay quickly as the prices are dropping every time new sets are posted up there. The hype will eventually die down. I'm more of a SPOT price guy, but I can see this as an opportunity to make a little. Worst-case scenario is you just picked up silver @ $39 an ounce.

I hope you plan to sell those ASAP. At $39/oz., you won't see return for a long. I felt good buying 40 oz. @ $15 ($600). Then waited till it hit $20/oz. to sell 30oz. 10oz. free and clear is awesome, since I have pulled my intial investment out, it is just sitting there.:wink1:

So, what are the odds that the place that is making them is also auctioning them on ebay and bidding on those same auctions?Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

Al - the distributors are only allowed by the mint to make 10% on their sales.
