DALLAS - Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price was arrested Friday morning and is in federal custody, according to FOX 4 sources.
The arrest comes after a lengthy corruption investigation.
?Three years ago, the FBI served search warrants at Price’s home, his county office and at the homes and offices of others.? They were looking for evidence of things like bribery, money laundering, bankruptcy fraud and tax evasion.
?Last month federal prosecutors said they were ready to lay out the case and tried to meet with Price about a plea deal.?
Price’s attorney Billy Ravkind said there would be no deal.
“It’s our position Mr. Price has done nothing wrong,” Ravkind said.
Price’s longtime assistant Daphney Fain and political consultant Kathy Nealy were also taken into custody.
