Billy from Arkansas is a fictional character constructed by Taylor. What a bold move to get your name out there. Looks like its working in his favor.

I think that ALL performance shop owners are crooks and will screw someone over if the chance presents itself...it's very easy to be a good shop owner when everyone is swinging from your nuts about how awesome your shop is...but when there's a problem or a customer complaint, most just find every way to blame said customer and wash their hands of them. With that said, I can understand the shop owner's side when a customer tries to get over on a shop...heck, everybody is a crook. LoL.

Stop being a cheap ass and buy the parts needed the first time.

Are these some kind of fancy metal forging? They look kinda flimsy for as much as the car costs? Then the guy must have detonated the hell out of it to crack the webs and bend a rod like that. Probably put 87 octane in it.

It's a V-10 and by Lamborghini standards is mass produced. They only need to support 60hp each.

The stock 2 dot rods in my Buick v6 look stouter than those thin things. Heck the rod in my kohler 301 12hp looks like it could do more.
I guess they need to be light to spin em that fast, the kohler doesn't see the big end of 3.6k and the Buick stays under 5.2k. Just seems like they should have more meat, but for 60hp I'm sure the engineers put pencil to paper.
Funny that when the shop started replying to the allegations the op deleted his stuff.

Lamborghini - Feedback on Dallas Performance Twin Turbo Gallardo Build. Beware!! - Many of you have been asking what happened between Billy and Dallas Performance and I wanted to confirm that everything has been resolved. He has removed the website and statements and we have made the best of the situation, and have...

This is the side of Dallas Performance I know. Highest quality of work available for the Lambo platform.
FYI billy is a real person. I met him last year at DP. Not the brightest person.

Even if you believe every word that "Billy" wrote you could come to that same conclusion. Just based on the fact that if their work really was that shoddy, why on earth would it take you 3 years and $140k before finally going somewhere else. lol

It's anti-intuitive, but some people with a lot of money really aren't too bright. I'll never forget poking around on bimmerfest when I had my 740 and came across a post from a guy complaining about his 02 7 Series. He said that "His accountant had notified him that he had spent around 60k in repairs on it in 2 years..." I don't care how much money I ever make, I damn sure won't need someone else to point out I've dropped 60k in repairs on a goddamn car. Some people just live completely different lives from us scrubs. Choooo$$$ Choooooo$$$!

Regardless of whether the guy Billy isnt bright or whatever...he paid DP a lot of money for a product he did not receive. It is quite easy for a shop to just make up a story that the customer is at fault for whatever reason and this becomes internet truth and it gets embellished from there. I'm not saying that this is the case here, but there seems to be a ton of evidence pointing to his side of the story and just words from DP's side. I feel that DP has more of a reason to fib that Billy.
I have only used two performance shops in my years in performance vehicles. That was GeForce in Houston and JMP in Miss. GeForce charged a lot and the car had issues caused by them. I took it to JMP and they sorted the issues and fixed them (mostly).
I feel that if you can afford these vehicles and want stuff done right, then you need to learn to do it yourself as IMO, these shop owners will do whatever it takes to keep from losing money or losing future business from unhappy customers.

                              Definitely agree with your point.

I have no clue who is lying and who is telling the truth in this case, and really don't care since I am not looking for a shop to do work on my Lambo. lol
