I live in Burleson and love it. Just far enough out and close enough too. If I was looking, Benbrook would be a good choice with the new highway to downtown.

I live in west Fort Worth, nice area, very light traffic compared to every where else, and 15 mins from downtown.

What makes you say that? The majority of the higher end neighborhoods around Shady Oaks, Rivercrest and Westover Hills are on the west side...

Id definitely go Keller if you want good schools for your kids. Very far north Ft Worth aint bad but I wouldnt want to be on the other side of 377

Its not that bad. That area has a very strong/large hispanic community, mixed with a lot of Vietnamese/Korean neighborhoods. A lot of the houses in that area dont even have bars on the windows. I think that area could be come the next hipster place of FT worth if there was some investment.

Stereotypical Detroit is run down and abandoned even the houses and that area is doing better than that. The Detroit comparison could probably be better made in the fair park area.

I was in south Fort Worth but not way soouuth Fort Worth. From I-20, go about a mile south on Hulen but don't cross the train tracks. There are a few residential areas there between Hulen and Bryant Irvin. Sort of in a bubble. It was quiet and easy to get to. Everything was convenient to get to.

I avoided west of 820 because it seems half of Lockheed lived there so traffic gets really bad at 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. North Fort Worth seemed nice but the traffic at 820 & 35 was enough for me to decide to look elsewhere.

That's insane. It can take 20+ min to go from N Tarrant to 820. For years it was a roll of the dice to see if the trip was going to be 45 minutes or an hour and a half.

Keller is nice enough but it's pretty much all cookie cutter houses and strip malls. The drive to downtown was soul sucking. Glad I got out of there.

I moved to Benbrook in 08 and have loved every second of it. Takes 20 minutes to get downtown on a bad day and you're near Bryant Irvin/Hulen when you want retail but don't have to mess with that traffic just to get to/from work.
