While i was a big nirvana fan they sucked live for the most part.
I did foo fighters and weezer in deep ellum live. Best shows of my lifetime front row of both. There was maybe 300-500 people tops.
Ive seen most every band i liked live for the most part.
I would have liked to have been in Seattle in the mid80s to follow the scene.

Went and saw Lynryd Skynryd in 1975, they were awsome, would like a do over for that one! Also a do over for Humble Pie and Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow at the Cow palace in 1980 I believe.
Montrose circa 1974-75,
Journey circa 1975
Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young
Allman Bro's
Robin Trower
Peter Frampton
Stevie Ray Vahn
Nirvana
Queen
Led Zepplin
Breaking Bejamin
And on and on

As for me, Little Feat, Buddy Holley, Bugs Henderson, Freddy King, and Early (Duane) Allman Brothers. I'd love to see ZZ Top again, circa 74-76, the Takin' Texas to the People Tour days.. Live longhorn on stage & Billy at his finest. On another note, they got slammed by the "critics", but Uriah Heep put on one of the best shows I've ever seen...

ZZ Top does alot of overdubs with their guitar tracks and can't pull it off live unless they have an all start band.
I saw Little Feat in the late 80's but without Lowell George... they were tight as hell. Too bad Grand Funk sucks, I saw some footage from that "Midnight Special" TV show from the 70's that featured vintage bands and comedians that we all grew to love and GFR looked like they jammed pretty good...
I would have loved to seen the Grateful Dead in the early 70's or early 90's.... the 80's were horrible for them, as were alot of their shows. I still have a ton of bootleg and soundboard tapes from them.... their years with Bruce Hornsby on keyboards were pretty good...

Originally posted by line-em-up View PostRecently, I saw the DVD, Celebration Day, that they made a few years back. I expected an old worn out band. Boy was I wrong. They rocked. I was just going to watch a song or two because I had some other things to get done, but I ended up watching the entire thing.
They have done kashmire a few different ways. The mtv unplugged version was good.
