Even when I was 20 working 12's with an hour lunch and 30 minute break it was a bit of a beating, though better than working a 5 day 40 hour week. 3 on, 4 off, 4 on, 3 off, I just did everything I needed to do on my days off unless it was something pressing. After the 4 on, the first day off I pretty much did absolutely nothing, and it was everything I ever hoped it could be..

My brother works 12s at the GM plant. He is in skilled trades so he sits around reading a lot. I still think he hates it. Moral of the story being that if you don't like your job any shift length will get old. I love my job and will work 10 hours a day just to get shit done but all I do is sit at a desk and click a mouse and babysit adults.Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

4:30 to 4:30 for me. I'm usually pretty useless until the weekend when I sleep in until 7am.
Sometimes I'll work half Fridays and come home take a nap. Other times I work 6 12's.
When my OT got over $100 an hour I seem to work it all I can for now. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government"

I used to work piles of 12's. The important thing is to not let yourself out of responsibilities. Dedicate the first hour of home time to chores, then crack a beer when you're done. It's easy once you get into the rhythm.ZOMBIE REAGAN FOR PRESIDENT 2016!!! heh

Sometimes I get off and do stuff, but most of the time I just lay around, go for a swim to relax, etc. Who cares what you get done on the days you work, you have plenty of days off to get things done. I will admit that when I was in warrants for a couple of years, going to bed late, and not having to get up at the crack of dawn was kind of nice. Still I enjoy the days off way more.Whos your Daddy?
