I was driving along side a 2015 yesterday on I-30 headed west from Rockwall. It had Michigan Manufacturer plates on it. No idea why it would be in Texas though unless going to some aftermarket company preordering for research?

I think you're spoiled, Eric. 435 is no slouch for a run-of-the-mill GT.

That's the part that I'm wrapped around the axle about. All that talk of losing weight and it gains? They should've done a better job of shutting down the rumor mill if they knew it was going to gain.

The 2015 Mustang V-6 manual will weigh 3526 pounds, a gain of 30 pounds over last year's model. The automatic gains just 12 pounds, at 3530. The Mustang GT manual gains a bit more at 87 pounds, with a curb weight of 3705 pounds. The GT automatic weighs 3729 pounds, up 54 pounds. The new EcoBoost models are pretty close in weight to the V-6s, with the manual version weighing in at 3532 pounds and the automatic at 3524.

Well, I've put almost 20k on my '13. It's a fantastic little car. The only 2 cars I've owned that I would come close to comparing it to would be my '01 740iL and my '01 Cobra. And despite it not having Nav or Climate Control like the BMW, it pretty much blows both of those cars out of the water. The power output for '15 isn't BAD by any means, IF you don't take into account the power output of the 13/14, and the fact that the Boss with essentially the same engine still managed to squeak out... about nine... more.

Then we have the rest of your statement, which is what we've all been excited about. "It will lose 300-400 pounds..." Now if they had actually followed through with that, a quaint little 15hp gain wouldn't have me being so negative about it. But it gained 80 fucking pounds! LOL Which means it has basically the same power to weight ratio as the outgoing model. What is the incentive to buy this thing? Because the styling isn't going to get it done compared to the 13/14.

+15 hp and +80 pounds is an improvement in power to weight ratio, if only .0009 horsepower to pound

GT350's flat-plane-crank V8. The sound the car makes is magnificent. We're betting that we'll see an 8000-rpm redline in this car.

Well, it's no Mustang II, but it'll do.

That's subjective and I would disagree.
