Black police officer kills white war hero

This is a long read with a lot of shades of grey. I came across this looking for a follow up to a story I was told at work a few years ago about a shooting at one of our stores in Orange, Texas.

TL;DR: White War Hero goes into parts store, gets mad they won't return a part, starts screaming. Off duty black PO behind him asks him to stop cursing in front of his young daughter. War Hero starts slinging racial slurs at black PO while manager calls 911. PO goes outside to get badge and gun, altercation ensues in parking lot, black cop kills white guy, is no billed by grand jury, then it gets even more complicated.

"War Hero" was my cousin by marriage for a time. Hero is not the words I would have used to describe him prior to his service. I didn't know him any time after that, but I do know he came out still being a tad bit of a pos.

I stopped reading after this, if someone presents themselves as a PO and you are still acting like a crazed "animal", well your going to get shot. Race shouldn't even be a factor, the fact is a father told this dumb ass to stop cussing in front of his young daughter, he should have just took his busted ass starter and left after apologizing.

Veteran or not, if someone did that to me I'd want to shoot them unless I could easily handle them. Which is not likely.
