Autotrader and Ebay for real world market prices...

Craigslist, autotrader, carsforsale.com, cars.com. Take your pick. Craigslist has improved since it started charging dealers, but for that new, autotrader is likely the best.
TrueCar lets you control your car-buying journey. Shop new & used cars, sell your car, and find all the vehicle information you need with our research tools.
I've been checking cars.com and autotrader lately for a specific year and model. They are very similar - it's rare that a car is on one site and not the other.

I want to like Slow99 since people I know say he's a good guy, but just about everything he posts is condescending and passive aggressive.
Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Another vote for Autotrader, I like how granular you can be with their searches. You also setup email notifications so as soon as a car is listed that matches your criteria you know.
Makes sense. Whats the best way to find that out? Carfax?
carfax will only show if the vehicle was traded at the auction. If it was dealer to dealer then there wont be a carfax record. Ask the new car store if it was a trade in, and when you've found the car for you, ask them to see a copy of the deal sheet where they sold a new vehicle to the previous owner.
