Homosexuality used to be considered a mental illness (most of it still is if you ask me BUT I say that you should embrace your inner freak if you have one) and there are countless academic papers discussing ever fathomable piece of minutia concerning it.

Yes they did. I had a paper route as a kid starting in the early 80's and read the paper cover to cover every single day for the better part of 10 years. The left keeps recycling the same rhetoric over and over for different issues and it is very easy to spot once you have seen enough of it. The Christian Right has been saying for years that once "The Gay" goes main stream you will start to hear whispers about how other taboo subjects may just be normal too. What this professor is saying is just the tip of the iceberg and over the next 10-15 years you are going to hear a lot more of it.

Like I keep saying; I don't have a dog in this fight and could care less about "The Gay" spreading even though I see homosexuality as a virus that is spread generation to generation by adult homosexuals messing with post pubescent children.
