  • Auction Title?

Looking at picking up a DD tonight and the owner says it has an auction title.

Never have dealt with one of those is it a pretty simple process to have it transfered or should I turn away from it?

    Thanks in advance.

Was the car abandoned or are they selling it to pay off some kind of lien (i.e. posessory/mechanic's lien, storage fee lien) or something like that? I have limited experience with that, but if it's to pay off a lien, it's a total pain in the A$$ to get a new title issued.

So if there's a Lien on it stay away like usual?

I'd assume he's a dealer and he will have to have it registered for you.

Lien is ok as long as it has a lien release with it.

Is he selling it out of a business?

Cooke County (where I currently live) registration office is amazing. They do everything they can to help you. Hopefully it stays that way.
