Unfortunately, being nice to people like that will get you squat. I'm sure they have scoped out your place and will be back when you aren't home.

Trash at it's finest. Of all things I've sold on cl appliances and furniture seem to be the most pita. The people those categories attract lowball the worst and always seem to ask the dumbest shit. Often times its easier and less stress for me to just drop it off at mission Arlington. Fuck people are stupid.

It's not an age thing, people simply have no haggling skills or just lowball you. I have people call me all the time asking what my bottom dollar is as if I have some reduced number I'm waiting for someone to ask me about or ask me what my best 'cash' deal is. I just blow them off, not worth dealing with.

Cash? What else did you think I would accept? Wompom, goats and chickens?

Ya, I tell them I don't take credit cards on facebook. It's such a stupid question, always amazes me.

you should have called the police.

I had a guy offer me less than I was asking for a riding mower and I accepted, but I was going to have to trailer it to a place and meet him. Last thing I told him was "Bring the full amount we agreed on in cash. There will be no more haggling when you see it or I will drive away." Suddenly he wasn't as interested. Focker was going to drop another $50 from the offer after I drove over there.

Weird stuff. Had a mexican family show up in a very nice Navigator loaded with Dad, brother, son, wife, and mom from about 50 miles away to buy another riding mower. We ended up removing the steering wheel and seat and loaded it in the back of it with the seats down. Somehow grandma and son squeezed in the back around it. At least they gave me the asking price.

A vietcong showed up in a Mustang vert and a trailer to buy another mower. After I specifically told him NOT to drive off the driveway because we had had heavy rains, he drove out in my yard to turn around and got stuck. I had to pull him out with my truck before he left worse ruts. Then he had the nerve to talk me down on my already rock bottom price. Nope, you lost all negotiating room when you messed up my lawn.

They have been calling today and hanging up when we answer. Not answering the phone for a few days and keeping my eyes peeled.

It irritates me when people try that shit when something is priced to sell and then get pissy when you tell them that is the price if you don't like it don't buy it.

I had a takeoff bumper listed at $100 that most ask $250-350 for on a facebook group and had people were still lowballing me. I pulled it down stuck it craigslist for $250 and sold it for $200 the next day.
