    Thieves suck: part 32474

    Well, came home today to find my apartment door kicked in, and tge three guns I had here gone. They didn't take anything else.
    Stolen from the east side of Ft. Worth...
    AR-15 pistol SAA upper and lower, Magpul AFG.
    Auto Ordnance 1911A1
    Taurus PT111 G2

    Please be on the look out for these, especially in E. Ft. Worth/Arlington.

              Nah, I seriously doubt it. I kept the bringing them in on the down low. And the maintenance guy here is a good dude. He came out with his little girl to fix the door.

              Oh, they also got about 10 blurays, and my camera. About $2600 worth of stuff altogether.

              They also tried to get into the apartment below me.

                That sucks. Install 3" long drywall screws in the strike plate and lock set in the door and it makes it damn difficult to kick in a door.

                  That, unfortunately, wouldn't have helped much, if at all. The doors here are fairly typical apartment doors. Semi-hollow metal with an internal wood frame. The edge of the door folded and gave way. I'm already putting my devious mind to work devising either a secondary device (i.e. a lock bar I can drop when I leave), or possibly some Home Alone type nasty surprise. Probably option A, to keep me in good graces with the staff.

                      They beat a hole in the door with a police battering ram and the door didn't open.

                      But it isn't really your door. You should have renter's insurance though.

                            Sucks dude, sorry. Maybe that's why I have cameras and motion lights all over my shit. I'm paranoid though.....

                              I don't have the part that goes over the door (number 2 in their picture), but the long strike plate/screws I have sitting in the garage. I bought the kit with 2, but my neighbor decided he didn't want it, so it is sitting in my garage. It's yours if ya want it, just shoot me a PM
