That's where the problem is. You think that just because you have the idea that someone is drunk means they are, and they must now prove their innocence. That's fucked up. I refuse to offer up any information or possible things that can do me harm.

At least that's the impression that you gave to me when you replied.
Their reasoning for this is that they say that driving is a privilege and you give up your rights when operating a motor vehicle on govt roadways...stupid, but that's the shit law.

To quote the baconeers on here..."If you have nothing to hide, then you should not have a problem with them violating your rights!"

Fuck the children. A resurgence of SIDS should be a thing.

My favorite is the rubber stamp warrant process. That is the real "no refusal" in the no refusal weekend.

I could have a slam dunk drunk and still lose because of a semi decent def attorney. If a person isn't drunk or high, then ur clues will be slim. And on video in court a weak sfst REALLY shines.
Right and if I see a cop weaving, do I have the option to force him to give a breathalyzer sample or draw his blood?

This. I'm being forced to give evidence that could harm me. You think you have a case? Prove it in court, don't expect me to hang myself.

I had a scuffle on FB with some broad on the DFW Scanner feed a couple of days ago after she started complaining that Texas doesn't have DUI checkpoints. Her and some other moron from NY both literally said with all sincerity "If you don't have anything to hide you have nothing to worry about." Talk about missing the fucking point.

Would you be against forcibly taking a DNA sample (pursuant to a search warrant) for other types or criminal cases ?

Actually I wouldn't mind hearing this stat. I have yet to see one get blood drawn that was not two or three times the legal limit. I am sure you can find a couple of cases but I doubt it is over a single digit stat. I would bet that some of those could be diabetics, and new officers.
