  • Any one know how to crack an old safe?

I bought a house in December and the previous home owner left this old safe. I have no idea if anything is in it but I want to find out. Any one know how to go about cracking this thing? I spent a few minutes with a mechanic's stethoscope but couldn't really great any "clicking".

And I know, my garage needs to be cleaned. I'm doing it now!

There is a good video of me and my brother drunkenly beating the shit out of a safe with a sledgehammer. Not really a safe I guess, it was an old change machine that was in my bar. Sledge/reciprocating saw/pry bar + lots of booze = $6.25 in quarters.

A safe with wheels. Seems logical enough.

Buick is on his way there, he's already got the beer!

OP, you might call a locksmith and see what they say.

Beat the fuck out of it with a sledge. You'd be surprised how easy a lot of those things are to bust open like that.

Exactly what I said when I first saw it.

The previous home owners are kind of strange, so I'm expecting a couple of human livers and a nude picture of Damnit Steve to be in there.

I'd start with cutting the hinges with a torch or recipocating saw

If the livers saw a picture of him they would have broken out of the safe on their own by now.

A couple of hard pipe hitting niggas with a pair of pliers and a blow torch should work.

Call around, maybe a safe shop can get it opened without damage.

                          Look for all identifying marks.

Knock the dial off and drill two inches down and one inch to the right. That is where I would usually find the release pin. Use a pick tool to release, takes time but you can figure it out. Lets you keep tye safe usable too.

I would not do anything to damage it, those old safes are worth a little cash.. I would call a lock smith and see if they can or know someone.
