I'd like to keep this short, but I'm guessing by the time I explain this, it'll be a book, but here goes.
To start, this guy is a jackass psycho. They separated last April, but still lived together with an agreed date of approx June 1 for him to be gone. That date rolls around, she's like "get out", he's like "make me". So she drags him through court and finally gets a court order to get him out of the house and finally gets him out approx Sept 1. She took the keys and had the locks changed on the house. Stuff kept happening though. He took her wedding ring and sold it. Mail that she was expecting (from her mom, from her attorney) just kept randomly coming up missing, either from the house, or never even making it to her. She was sure it was him...but no proof. She also suspected he was also entering the house while she was there because random things would be misplaced around the house when she came home from work. She always had suspicion that he was maybe having an affair, but again, no proof...until one day in the garage, there was a letter that appeared out of the blue (in the middle of the floor - something that would have not been overlooked as she always parks in the garage). It was a letter from some woman to her soon to be ex, pretty much confirming what she had expected. So now we've got not only mail theft, but this guy also entering the house after he's not supposed to be there. He's had also been reading her emails and had access to her computer somehow along the way. She gone as far as to have her computer wiped and the OS reinstalled. Also had her iPhone wiped because she suspected that somehow he was following her around and reading her texts. (not sure how on that, but I guess it's possible?) He's also done many other things that are pretty irrelevant to this point, other than to prove that he's crazy. FF to this weekend and she has a long time friend in town from her college days 15 yrs ago. They're hanging out and she hears the garage door start to open, so she jumps up to check out what is going on. I guess the husband assumes that she is not home and was coming over to take or plant something in the house as she noticed a book/binder/package in his arms. She couldn't tell for sure, but she got into a yelling match with him and was screaming at him to get off his property. She ends up calling the cops, but her husband is long gone in a flash. Carrollton PD shows up and tells her it is a civil matter and to talk to her atty. Her atty basically acts like this is no big deal. At least after the incident, her and her friend now know how the husband has been getting in. They immediately hop online and figure out how to reprogram the garage door openers. She already talked to her atty last week and filed a restraining order against him to where the only communication between them is to be about their kids and only via text/email. The only other contact that are to have is over the phone in the event there is an emergency that pertains to the kids. She's worn out. She's been trying to get divorced for nearly a year. She's been through 2 atty's. The 1st one only wanted her $$. He thought the case was a slam dunk. When he found out it wasn't, he dropped the case. He just wanted to agree to whatever her ex's atty requested. She's had this 2nd atty for many months now and he's not getting anything done. He extended a discovery period for 30 days w/o her consent recently and just dragging things out and nickel and diming her. So she's dealing with a psycho ex husband who she feels like no one can help her with...and attorneys who just don't care apparently. She just wants divorced and she wants the ex as far away from her as possible. What can/should she do?
