    96 or earlier Ford truck or Bronco? I know they have issues with the passenger side exhaust manifold being too close to the starter and the heat kills them pretty fast. When I was shopping for my old Bronco there were several that I looked at that had that issue.

      03 cobra. Pretty common issue for the same reason. Heat kills them

              Again, maybe I'm lucky, but I have been running an autozone alternator for years, never had an issue with it. Could be that I get new rather than remanufactured. I've had my fair share that died within weeks, but none recently.

              This heat is doing a number on old alternators, I have had three go out in the past month. Worst one was on my sisters 01 focus. Rat bastard died without warning when I was down in Wimberley. Rolled into the Kyle autozone at 9pm, right as the battery died. Oh and it's a giant pain in the ass to change on that car, you have to disconnect the motor mount and rock the engine forward.
