Even with the pig weight should be good for mid 11s off the showroom floor.

They are going by the old proven sales pitch. "Horsepower sells". They just leave out the whole weight thing

    My estimates below.

    90 grand

    4050 lbs

same 255/45-20 ZR tires as current SRT8

deep 12s, hazing the tires an entire quarter mile

Indeed, 55k base and a steering wheel is a $35,000 option.

    I don't believe the 3,450 weight either.

They (Chrysler) have never been one to sell anything cheap, the Viper has always been one the most expensive and slower than its competitors and I see no reason how this thing with a SC'd big displacement engine with carbon fiber panels will be any different. If history is any indication than it will be northwards of $100K...

Edit; I just built an SRT and loaded it out and it came to $53.3k, no way you get a SC and carbon panels for 2.5k more.
Even motortrend reports its going to start at 55k, i'm sure the base will be there and once you start adding options like motor, transmissions, seats, interior, wheels, air, rims, etc it will add up to around 90k.

Where did you find that? That is lighter than a Boss 302 right? Also about 500# lighter than the SRT-8?

If that 3450# is correct, that car will be a MONSTER once it gets moving....IF you can ever get it to hook.

Don't shoot the messenger y'all, all I said was that I read on a couple websites that the base price is claimed to be $55k. It's on the Internet, so it must be true.

The thing could start at $30k and I still wouldn't want one, for $100k+ there are lots of other cars, new and used that I'd rather have.

I agree. No way it will be $55k. Probably closer to 80k....PLUS the dealer "market adjustment" of about 20-25k.

Yeah there is absolutely no way its going to be 55k, if it starts at 55k i'm sure the options everyone wants will ramp up the price incredibly fast.

The innerweb purports a base MSRP of $55.
