Alright a buddy of mine is trying to get me into Quadcopters. So I picked up a "Ready to Bind" BLADE 180QX. I've got a Futaba 6EX Transmitter here and I can't for the life of me get the damn thing to "bind". :/ Does the 6ex only work with the FASST recievers?

Try the Futaba 7EX Transmitter, it's newer and may support more models.

The 6EX is not a very good radio and lacks subtrims. I do not believe it is compatable with Horizons Spektrum RX units. Get a DX6i or better.

By the way, I have a couple Nano QX quads and they are a freakin blast! I was going to get a 360 but then I saw a squirrel and chased it.

I dropped by the local RC Hobby shop right off base. 120 dollars got me a brand new in box DX6i. Problem solved. Had fun for a while before I killed the stock battery and the 4 extras I bought to go with it.

About how long did that take?

I was able to jack around with it for the better part of an hour like that. Each battery fully charged is supposed to last between 5 and 15 minutes depending on if the camera is mounted on it or not.

You can't charge the batteries fast enough to just switch them out. It takes about an hour to fully charge one of them.

The extras I bought were an extra 100mah over the stock battery that came with it. I shot some video off of it last night but it was too dark to really see anything.
