I emailed the guy about a lever sitting right next to the shifter. Seems the truck had a PTO winch at one point. Any idea what to look for to see if the stuff is still there to put another in?

I dig these old things. The uglier and more unreasonable the vehicle, the more I love it. She's a tank but then again, my other F250SD is 8800 pounds empty without the replacement bumpers or toolbox or headache rack.

The engine is a replacement from what I'm told though the grandson is an electrician, not a mechanic. He said his grandfather told him the way he changed the oil was to pull the oil filter and run it until the oil stopped and then put another filter on and top it off. Seems he welded the drain plug closed because (the grandson thinks) he stripped the drain plug.

There are issues but it has the owner's manual, warranty paperwork and all of that from when it was new.

I wasn't paying attention last night while trying to crank it (I let it sit overnight) and didn't see the fuel line break and pump almost 2 inches of gas across the top of the engine. The carb backfired and set the entire engine bay, under the truck and grass on both sides of the truck on fire.

My truck is covered in flame retardant and I'm putting off going to check on it today because I really don't want to see what that fire ate.

truck looks like it's had a hard life. Needs a new grill, can't imagine how it got so banged up.

If you decide to sell it, send me a PM. I wanted more of 79ish, but I'm not that picky. Just need something for HD runs and pulling my boat 2 times a year.

edit: After it is fixed up a little bit.

Well, replaced the fuel line and ran new wires for the electric fuel pump I borrowed from my brother to test her and she's idling like a charm. The "hole in the radiator" I was told about was the radiator drain was open and the bottom radiator hose didn't have clamps on it.
