Some folks see the prices of early Shelby Mustangs, and think just because something is "limited", it's worth a fortune. The irony is that almost every Shelby built, was driven and beat on. Most of the Hertz cars were rented out for weekend races, for crissakes.

Nevermind that a significant percentage came back with 2bbl small blocks, lol. "Numbers matching," always makes me think a bunch of stuff has been replaced.

True. Not to mention remnants of rollbars/cages still welded to the frames. LOL!

If I just had the spare cash it would be worth buying, showing up in a taxi, hopping in and side stepping the clutch in that bitch. I wonder if you could see the former owner's tears through the smoke and rubber?

Would be tears of joy. I'm pretty sure this seller has several of these "new" cars.

Cars like that are fun to look at, but I personally buy cars to drive them. maybe it's just because I can't afford to do it, but I can't imagine owning a car that I just looked at every now and then.

If I was a rich man I'd buy it in a minute. I've actually considered selling my gt500 to get one.

That guy isn't making a dollar off that car. Most sold new for close to that, some even more.

I'd love one of each in the garage, all with miles, so I could beat on them on sunny days.
