Tell her it's totaled and get a new truck. Problem solved. Just be glad the Cobra isn't finished and she had taken it.

I tried that. I told her Sewell had a nice 2001 convertible 911 for sale that we could have gotten for $500 over trade in value. She is not haven it though.

This one will be paid off by the end of the month so I am in no hurry to engage in another payment anyways. Paid vehicles is part of my master plan. This little misshap just sets it back $500 or more.

I am just glad she is okay. She was more pissed about it then anything. I can't imagine calling me to tell me was an easy thing for her to do.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

as flimsy as the frames on those trucks are it very well could be totaled depending on the ins agency... the left front frame section looks to be twisted pretty good.

Pray not, but if it is then it is what it is.

I wonder what book is on a 2002 f150 xlt larriat 4x4 5.4 auto with only 110,000 miles

thanks for the rep guys, the truck can deff be fixed and would be worth the deductable. most insurance companies will give you an option to fix it or not. anyways give me a call if you do decide to go ahead and have it repaired.

Well shit, it is new frame time. They pulled the bumper and said it was too crumbled to straighten out.

$4500 repair for a $10,000 truck. I can not wait to see what that does to my policy next renewel period.

Matt, she has her own insurance. She is a secondary driver on mine so she can drive it whenever she needs to. She needed to the day she got in the wreck and I told her to take my truck in fact.

I am just gonna have to hit them up for diminished value since a replaced frame on a Carfax is gonna make the truck worth absoulutly shit in the future.

Geico's adjuster laughed about how it would take an act of congress to total a truck in Texas and the repair was only $4,500. Trust me I would much rather have a check for $10,000 than to get back a truck I will be lucky to sell for $5,000

Hope it works out for you. I can't think of wrecking the new F150. I haven't driven it since this stuff hit. I'm having new truck smell withdrawls....

The frame would not straighten out, insurance is covering it so the cost of the repair is NOT my cause of heartburn here. What does burn my ass is that they are putting a "new" frame underneath it.

I am sure that the body shop gives the Geico rep a kickback for over repairing jobs like this. The gal works out of the body shops location. I can just imagine the amount of flag hours these two mechanics are going to get off of my repair.

Trust me I am not happy about it. God only knows how many miles are on the frame and in what condition it is in vs mine. I am sure it is straighter, lol but I am not going to know the condition of the bushings and all the other jazz that the mechanics are going to NOT swap over such as fuel lines, brake lines, wiring harnesses, etc. Oh I am not happy one bit.

The other thing that ticks me off is the Carfax in the future is going to list "accident: frame replaced". My trade in will be worth FUCKING ZERO at that point. The gal even said that book on the truck is $12,000 and the $4,500 did not come close to totaling it out. I wished they would have just killed it cause I don't want it back now.

To top it off I can not be mad at my wife: it was MY idea to drive my truck and she feels like complete shit because she knows how much my paid for truck ment to me.
