Leather furniture + pets = good or bad idea?

We had top grain leather with two miniature schnauzers and it held up pretty well. I think there was one noticeable scratch after 3 years. Then we got two dobies, and the couches were trashed.
We let our dogs play anywhere they want. It may sound stupid, but its their house too. Hell, they are there more than we are.
Our new couches are some durable cloth. I don't remember the fabric, but they have held up good for a couple of months abuse. The hand that feeds, bleeds.

These engines vibrate quite a bit, I think that is where the cracking is coming from. I've never cracked a block, but have run a 300 shot on a hci 302. Either way, its all borrowed time at those numbers. The hand that feeds, bleeds.

I've had leather my whole life. Cat never gives me an issue. Dog isn't allowed on the furniture."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

DJ, stop fucking up the internets.
My old border collie was very rarely allowed on the furniture. I allow the BC puppy I rescued late last year up to sit with me a few times a day, but she only gets up with a person, and never tries to get up on any of the furniture on her own. Within 5 minutes of bringing her home I had literally taken my eyes off her for five seconds, turned around, and she was standing on the couch looking at me. LOL I yelled at her to get down and pointed at the floor, she did immediately, and never tried again. Sometimes you just have to work with a dog for awhile and sometimes they get it right away.
