....It goes terribly wrong of course. On the bright side, she succeeded in not getting her upholstery wet. Making Texas look like Florida. Way to go, lady.
One child was rushed to a hospital in Texas by helicopter after a drunk mom drove a grand total of six kids home from the pool on the roof of her car.
Well, that's technically not true. 39-year-old Kisha Young drove six kids (four hers, two of another mom) a home from a community pool in Crowley, Texas last Tuesday on the roof and the trunk of her Chevy Malibu.
The drive would have taken about a minute, the NY Daily News reports.
Things went wrong, as WCVB5 News explains, when Young took a turn in a rather vigorous manner.
Witnesses in the neighborhood were astonished to see Young driving with the kids - ages eight to 14 - on the outside of the vehicle, and were even more shocked when four of the children were flung from the car after Young took a sharp turn. As the children laid injured in the street, Young kept on driving, apparently unaware that the kids had fallen off the vehicle.
Young did go back for the kids, at which point one was rushed to the hospital.
The cops showed up and gave Young a sobriety test, which she failed. They arrested her on suspicion of intoxication assault, a third-degree felony.
The other mother rode in the passenger seat (heaven forbid the kids get the interior wet) and the Crowley Police Department expects she'll get additional charges as well.
