  • Welp...finally done with the move.

Got to Buda, TX (first town South of Austin) at about 11:30 on Monday "morning." Only thing that went wrong was my pops having a blowout in North Austin. What a bitch though. 30 miles from the destination and that shit happened. I'm kinda glad that at least it happened when it did though so I could help him change the tire on the side of a very busy I-35. I hear the weather is getting pretty shitty up in DFW so you guys be safe. Hopefully nature will be easy on us down here. I can't say that I'd be against seeing a bit of snow though.

Unfortunately the credit union that I applied for is looking for somebody with experience in a financial institution. I'm probably gonna have to look for something sales related since that's where most of my experience is from writing service. That or customer service. In the 14 hours I have been here, I've already met a few people that said to stay in touch and they'd try to help me out. Luckily I have great friends, who have great friends, and hopefully even with this DWI I'll be able to land a good job.

Oh yeah, and the room I'm in right now (which I'm really stoked about is like 18' x 12'. It's not that important, but, mother fucker. Having a giant room kicks ass. ...and, I don't have shitty "Clear" internet anymore. Did the speed test when I got here and got 25.10 MB D/L speed wireless. Upload was only around 1 MB but I'm more of a taker, than a giver when it comes to the interwebs. Old place was like 1-4 MB D/L...hardwired.

Well, a change in environment just might be what you needed.

I know over the past few days I've given you shit about being the E-father of dfwmustangs, but that kinda made me chuckle, because that is word for word what my parents said. I have a shit-ton of respect though for them, so that's gonna ooze of towards you, too.

Buda is nice and San Marcos kicks ass in the summer. I wouldn't mind living there either, but all of my family is in Dallas.

              HAHAHA!!!

I've learned that placing myself among certain people have led me certain ways, whether I know it- like it or not. Find what you're looking for and embed yourself.

It sounds selfish in a way, but unless you have children or a wife that you have to consider, your life should be about what you need or want. Although I've made mistakes in my life, I've been responsible enough that my actions really only affect me, and not anybody else.

I like my family, that's the thing, it's not being held back, I enjoy their company. The bonus is my best friend has a place in San Marcos, so I can go down there any time I want.

I love my family. I don't have a wife or kids, but am very close with my family. Even my step-mom called me tonight asking how everything was and wondering if I needed anything.

I'm just saying that if you want to do something...really look and see if there's anything holding you back besides yourself.

If you just need something in CS to get you by, Blizzard runs in game customer service out of its Austin branch. They're supposedly always hiring.
