    Low ball these fools:

This looks like an excellent truck:

I do have a lead on a 4.8/auto RCSB for $1700. I'll let you know if it's still around.

200k is just getting broken in. No payments are awesome. My tahoe has 211k on it and still going strong. Just dropped it off at the shop for some minor repairs that I don't have time to do; shocks, brakes, and gasket leak on the oil pan. All vehicles need maintenance, but maintenance is cheaper than payments and maintenance. Of course I understand you might be paying cash for the new truck, and that is cool, but if you are trading a regular cab for a regular cab and not actually changing the type of vehicle, it seems like some time in the shop might be all she needs.

      Just my thoughts.

My daily is an 07 Silverado Classic Ext 4.8 auto Gets 15 in 1/2 city and 1/2 Hwy and 20 on Highway (at 70 mph). I bought it with 40K on it, now at 103K (just broke in) and that is what gets consistently. I was looker at a crew cab recently and can't believe what they want to give me vs what they are asking above.

I go back and forth on this. Most of the time it falls back on, its cheaper to keep her. The little issues and repair items are becoming more frequent. To the point it is nearing an inconvenience. I won't be paying cash for a new(er) vehicle, unfortunately. We just bought a house and it put a pretty sizable dent on my savings account. I know this goes against the grain with the DFWM ballers who can pay cash for their McLaren P1's. I'm still small time!

Have you thought about taking it to a trusted mechanic and have them go through it and give you estimate to get it back in shape? I know alot of little thngs add up, but that still seems like it would be cheaper every year or two than payments.

It has been the story of my life through the 7 years and 160K miles I have put on the s-10. Like clock work, every 2 years it requires a new fuel pump. The motor needs pulled to fix the rear main seal. Its getting close to time to replace the clutch, rear pads and shoes, figure out what is wrong with the power steering, replace the radiator again (4th one since I have owned the truck), replace the drivers seat, the dimmer switch could stand to be replaced. Pretty sure the potentiometer is failing as it now only has on and off. Sometimes, you just don't want to have to worry about putting the vehicle in the shop every few months and having to find a ride to work.

Will I continue to nurse it along and curse the puddles of oil everywhere I park...Probably so. I am quite fond of not having a car payment. On the other hand, it would be nice to not get a work out anytime I have to make a turn at slow speed, or wonder if the transmission is going to make it into second gear.

Sometimes it's just time for a new ride.

I love my 6.0 ext cab. It doesn't do bad on mileage considering my driving habits and the trailblazer stall. I get about 14-15 in the city and I got 21 coming back from Austin going 70-75. I went 85-90 the first time and got 16-17 lol

I'd think mid 300's at the wheels would be fairly attainable.
