My house does pretty well on electric bills, but I still had solar screens put in and keep most of the blinds closed during the day to keep it dark and cave like inside. As Jared said, I also like the privacy in the car, and I also think dark tint makes a car look better from the outside, so it's pretty much all positives as far as I'm concerned.
I like the factory tint level on the rear windows of the Suburban but wouldn't mind the front windows to be a bit darker. I believe they are at 35% now. I have a number of nicks in the drivers side from whipping my seat belt off too fast, so I may just pull the tint off the fronts and have it redone at 30%.

I had the same sensibilities even before Lasik, but I'm sure it might have made a slight change for the worse also.

I got ticketed in Arlington in 2000 or so. 1991 coupe with limo front and back. Cop busted a uturn in bumper to bumper traffic to pull me over. Came up as 4%. Got that ticket and one for not having a sticker on it showing who put it on. I didn't know the last part was legit.

I had limo on the front windows and 2% on the back windshield (reg cab truck) and never got hassled about it.
Although I will say it was a PIA to do anything at night and was constantly rolling my windows down to be able to see.
My Trans Am had 15% up front and the rest were limo and never got bothered in that car either.

Car looks awesome, man. I hated those wheels at first, but they've grown on me.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.
