As I have stated before...there are very few LEOs that will choose the Constitution over their state issued paycheck. Those that would, are good in my book. Those that wont can eat a bullet.

As I have stated before...there are very few LEOs that will choose the Constitution over their state issued paycheck. Those that would, are good in my book. Those that wont can eat a bullet.

I absolutely agree, on all accounts. I also recognize that departments seem to be hiring the dumbest out there and justify it by saying it's hard to find good quality officers for the wages they pay. Which is counter intuitive as they seem to be hiring these guys at an unbelievable pace AND equipping them with top notch gear. Cut the numbers, double the pay, hire officers that are educated, intelligent and KNOW their limits.

But then again, that seems to operate in direct opposition to the direction of modern law enforcement.

Agreed. The govt and its agents aren't all stupid. They know that the people of this country will only take so much before there's riots...and revolution. Hence the push toward militarization of law enforcement and arming of most govt agencies. They are preparing for something big in this country...the question is...are you ready?

The odd thing is that it is very hard to get hired for some folks. I have a buddy that was Arizona State Police (12 years) then did a few years with the DEA. He moved from Arizona to Texas and tried to get hired by DPD and EVERY police department in the metroplex. He could not pass the poly and background over the drug use question. 23 years ago he tried cocaine once and wasn't even sure if he even snorted any up into his nose.

I work with several guys that were LEO, one from DPD of 10 years and another Euless (if I remember right) who was an undercover narcotics guy for them. Both are really cool dudes and high morals. Then there is the former Florida cop talking about how he busted prostitutes and Johns but in the next sentence tells me about hiring strippers that would fuck them for money.

What you say is true to a point, but we need to keep the cops on our side for when the going gets tough. If we turn their attitudes against us, then that won't happen. I am hoping that if the time comes when our military and LE are faced with that type of decision that they will know in their hearts what needs to be done and do it instead of worrying about losing their jobs and then turning on the citizens.

Agreed. Sadly though it has been such a slow push in the past, no one really noticed. At the rate it is increased lately can only point to something coming pretty soon.
