I use 8, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 17 all the time on Festiva stuff, I purposely have multiples of those for the reasons you describe tossing them out
Please tell me if anyone has every used a 9, 11 or 20mm socket on anything ???

I use these for my sockets. Haven't lost one yet, and absolutely love 'em.
I like those, but they won't fit in my Husky toolbox. I bought the cheap ass cutouts from HF, and I need to make some of the holes larger, but they serve their purpose so far.

But, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.

I'm not taking about making a 11 fit where it should be 7/16

I've lost more 7mm sockets than anything else. 80-90s GM interior bolts were exlusively 7mm. Now it's 10mm since everything under the hood uses that size.

I use them for 3/8" and 1/2" but find having my 1/4" stuff on these trays works the best for me. Can grab the hole rack and the magnet in the center keeps them from falling out. Good for going into the interior with.
I also found that the little trays that sets come in sometimes are the best to keep them in place too. Like the swivel sockets below.
