  • Fishing with goldfish

Anyone ever fish these areas with goldfish?

Or better yet, does anyone know of minnow sales in the north frisco area? Anything in little elm?

They work but a lot of people don't like to use them because they can be somewhat of an evasive species. They can get into a pond and will eat all of the material that minnows will live off of thus hurting your overall population.

I knew some states outlawed it, but wasn't sure if it was an issue in texas with all the carp we already have.

another big problem is goldfish carry a variety of diseases that can infect the native species.. They're great to feed to your Oscar, but not the best for use as a baitfish.

I usually spend the first hour at the lake with my ultra light set up. Catching a dozen or so bluegill. Put them in my minnow bucket and use those motherfuckers for Live bait. Try it you'll catch big bass that way always works for me.

Without my gun hobby. I would cut off my own dick and let the rats eat it...

The best bait is cut shad for catfish, small live shad for bass and crappie, but inject some fish oil into a minnow and start a frenzy, or after you have caught a crappie wipe some of the fish slime on your jig and they will go crazy for it.
