      no, when self employed, i am my company. My clients are the people I service for my company, "myself"

      you work for a company, if you don't visit clients of your company, then no you can't claim mileage

          when i worked for myself, i coudn't bill mileage to and from the office, only when i went to see clients, so i don't see the difference.

            If you were ever to use your car to go see a client, you'd be able to.


            I'd get audited with a quickness if I were to claim my mileage. I get paid a flat fee every month, plus my gas is paid for. So the company gets to write off my mileage, and if I were to do it, it would be double dipping.
