Only after he is assaulted and arrested do they release him and give a half ass apology.

Exclusive: Libertarian Candidate for Governor Arrested For Gathering Signatures

Lake Calhoun, MN- For months Benswann.com has reported on the uphill battle Libertarian candidates face when trying to obtain ballot access, including Ohio Gubernatorial candidate Charlie Earl being kicked off the ballot three times in this election cycle or Florida Gubernatorial candidate Adrian Wyllie being arrested for driving without a license only a week after he was invited to take part in the states one gubernatorial debate.

But it is Minnesota Gubernatorial candidate Chris Holbrook who may go down as facing the most outlandish attack on his attempt to get onto the ballot.

Liability issues. The city and cop will pay if there's an admission of guilt.

My point was he told the cops the actual law and instead of saying, wait a minute let me double check, the cop grabs his arm and slams him into a police car. What would be the harm in listening to what someone has to say? They have access to computers so it wouldn’t be that hard to actually look up the statute. It wasn’t like they were dealing with violent offenders.

Looks like they apologized. How does that not count as an admission of guilt? If you're going to post an article, post the whole article.

Why? "TLDR. Will make shit up." That's the reason.

maybe if cops got paid worth a shit then they could be more selective about who they hired instead of a bunch of power hungry ex/current nerds who still live with mommy.

Or, they could spend less money on full auto rifles, maintenance and upkeep on MRAPS and their military type toys and spend it on officers as well as cracking down hard on those who fuck up. Put cams and mics on every single officer and if one does anything that isn't on film, he gets canned. Harsh punishment for stepping over the line with 3rd party review of anything that happens as in use of force, outside of the city or county so they aren't influenced. Also do away with no-knock warrants.

There's money and compensation there plenty. A lot of it is wasted on toys that these bad cops want to use to play Army.

Cops get paid plenty. On top of that, they can always pick up side gigs to make even more money. As for being selective, it really depends on the agency. SAPD is tough as hell to get into without a college degree and some military experience.

And then you add in the extra perks like a company car, medical, dental, vacation pay and (if the city doesn't go bankrupt) huge ass pensions
