I had a recent thing like this. I sold a factory head unit out of my sequoia. It was listed in good condition and said the part number must match or it will not work correctly. Anyways some dude buys it and later claims it does not work. I ask him to send a picture of his original head unit and I see the part numbers are not the same. SMH. He filled a claim against me even after saying I'll take it back if he pays to ship it. Seemed fair to me... Any who he keeps the claim up. I was so pissed at paypal I tried shutting down my account. Won't let you when there's a claim against it... Luckily the dude was an idiot and after 30 days or whatever the claim fell off and I got the funds released. I'll never sell anything on eBay again.

I buy a lot of stuff on there and also sell stuff on there but its mostly low budget transmission parts in new condition. I always ship through Ebay so there is a tracking number associated with the transaction.

Usually when I get fucked, its on used parts I try to sell. I've pretty much gotten away from that shit and prefer selling used stuff to local people who can see what they are buying before buying it. The internet is full of anal assholes expecting new parts for used prices.

I buy stuff all the time on ebay, couple thousand items. Only had to open two cases and both times ebay didn't even give the seller a chance (they were in the wrong so I didn't care) and refunded my money and sent me a return label.

I would never sell on ebay because people are full of shit and will take advantage of you and ebay pretty much don't care any more.
