A week or so ago I sold an eaton m112 blower casing on Ebay. Buyer had solid feedback, gave me the money right away, etc. A couple days after the blower case arrived, he files a complaint to the Ebay resolutions center demanding a refund due to the item being broken upon arrival. No big deal, I ask for pics of the damage to confirm it and get ready to deal with the USPS insurance. As soon as I get the picture, I notice it's a completely different blower casing. Mine was in great condition with minimal dust/grime/oil on it. The one that he sends had RTV, dust, etc covering it. Also, I packaged the casing exceptionally well (tightly wrapped in pillows, Saran Wrap, etc), and the damage that it has is obvious blunt force damage, not a crack from a drop in the mail.
What is the best move here? I've heard that Ebay sides with the buyer 99.99% of the time, even with solid evidence on the seller's end. I'll attach pics shortly.
