Good for him. One less piece of shit in the world.

War veteran shoots, kills suspected Game Stop robber in NE Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas –- Several shots were fired Thursday during a robbery at a Game Stop located northeast of Houston.

Deputies said two men, wearing masks and bandanas over their faces, robbed the Game Stop on Wallisville Road shortly after noon.

A war veteran, who was eating lunch at Quiznos nearby, saw the suspects loading up Xboxes. He dropped his sandwich and went to his car to get a gun. At that time, one of the men fired at him, and he returned fire.

Police said at least seven shots were fired and in the end, one suspect was dead in his car.

The other suspect was located following a search.

Harris County Sheriff’s Deputies placed North Shore Middle School, North Shore High School, and Harvard Elementary on lockdown during the search.

Views from Air 11 showed detectives looking over bullet holes and casings in the parking lot in front of the store

I read a totally different story about the same event:

BREAKING NEWS: Earlier this afternoon, the Game Stop in Houston’s NW Harris county at Wallisville and Beltway 8 was subjected to an armed robbery by two men wearing hoodies, and bandanas. It appears that the game is over for the robbers as well.

They were seen loading their vehicles trunk with Xbox’s and video games by a 28 year old Texas Concealed Handgun Holder, as he exited the Quiznos next door. The Texas CHL holder had his handgun on him, and he noticed one of the robbers was holding a gun.

Fearing for his life, he screamed “call the police,” and drew his weapon. A brief exchange of gunfire ensued, and the gunmen expired behind the steering wheel before he could flee. No bystanders were hit, and the only one shot was the armed robber. The second robber was apprehended by police shortly afterwards, as he no longer had a viable getaway vehicle.

Police have just taken the CHL Holder to give his formal statement, and have already stated that no charges will likely be filed.

The neighbor of the 28 year-old CHL Holder said, “This is our neighborhood and I just want to say thank you. My kids go in that game stop, and it could’ve been anyone’s child.”

Response to threat, shot placement (no civilians were injured unlike when cops open fire) and return to 'normalcy' afterwards. Dollars to donuts, the soldier didn't have an actual logical thought the whole time, merely threat analysis and trajectory.

Well, about 100% of military and police have firearms training! what percentage of civilians do? When i took my chl class a pretty large percent had never fired a weapon.

That's because Houston is 1800 miles from New York.
