      Ummm, no.

Do you really think punishment is a great deterrent for some people?

If so, why are the jails/prisons overcrowded?

Seems the police aren't fixing their fuckup and have told her that when they destroy her house, it's her problem. When law fails you, what are you to do?

Wait, weren't you saying a while back that we couldn't punish cops like they punish citizens because cops wouldn't sign up for the job? Didn't you just defeat your own argument?

Again, when that fails. They admit they did this, admit they destroyed her house and the informant (informants should never be permitted to be the only reason for this bullshit) recanted his story. Her house is destroyed and she's out $100,000. Tell me Sparky, what is her recourse?

Because of bullshit victimless crimes, like smoking weed, or speeding.

There isn't one person in prison for smoking weed or speeding.

So I actually watched the video thinking wow I have never seen 100k in damages from a swat raid. Even if they pull a wall off the house it wouldn't cost that much to fix. I have also seen cities pay reasonable costs no problem when we have kicked doors, and caught the bad guy. So it was her son that was the armed robber. Not like they just picked a random house out of the blue and kicked the door in.

Now lets get to the damages. Lets say they broke out every fucking window in the house, and ripped the front door off of it. So new windows, nice new paint job on the interior, maybe some sheetrock, and a front door. What 15k tops. In reality probably 3k to 5k in damages. Her ass just wants to get paid and got denied. Yes it sucks he was not in there but this story is very one sided and misleading.

I am a get them while they are rolling around type of guy. Not a fan of no knock warrants etc., but this story is overblown.

I think they would have replace all the sheet rock, the ventilation system if one is used, the carpet and one good cleaning as well. If the CS gas used was the powder type then they would have to clean that house from top to bottom and then pray you got all of it. I'm thinking closer to 40K

The article says like 36k or something. Not sure how our headline is 100k, but hey you know. No way you have to replace all the sheetrock, just call in one of those specialty clean up crews, replace a few windows, and a front door. My point was the headline and a lot of the story is just way overblown.

Even her own document showed 32,XXX, but there is a lot not covered in the article to really know. Looks like siding was really f'ed up too.

No mention of water damage and so on. Repairs are expensive though.

Either way, 1K or 100K the problem is the repairs are not be reimbursed.

When you call in, "one of those specialty cleanup crews," they replace a lot of stuff. Cleanup for CS gas, and teargas could end up being more like cleanup after a fire than cleanup after death. That shit doesn't just scrub out.

It wouldn't matter if her claim against the city was 35K or 100K or 300K. They would still deny it. So much for accountability.
