Lol just a suggestion could care less if you do it but it works and there is no danger whatsoever with catching the downdraft off a truck 4-5 seconds ahead of you.

Pretty damn impressive. Been considering a v6 since I couldn't keep a GT stock. The new cars grew on me after being in a few.

I've manually calculated several tanks under different driving scenarios and it has never been off by more than a tenth of a MPG.

The window sticker claimed 17/26 on my 3.73 M6 2012 GT, but its more like 15/22 with how I drive it. I consistently average 19-20. I've done a couple of highway trips and usually get 23 with an absolute best of 25.5. If I was concerned about gas mileage, I would have a Yaris.

My decision to buy the V-6 Mustang was based on several factors. I love manual transmission muscle cars - and in my opinion, to buy a 420HP GT with an automatic is just criminal. My wife, Allyson - can't drive a stick, I can't own 2 cars she cant' drive. So if I'm getting an auto, I'd just get the V-6.

Plus, I wanted to be ready for $5 or $6 gas, if it came to that. So when the 3.7 debuted in 2011- it was the first car - ever - to have over 300HP and get over 30MPG.

So with this car I can get over 30MPG, and still have a car that runs 13.9's in the quarter- something a Yaris will never do.

I've never gotten even close to sticker (freeway) on any Ford vehicle I've owned. Not sure if it's my heavy foot or what, but you guys who get that kind of mileage kill me. I even try to see if I can get sticker on road trips, and I'll fight keeping it to 65mph for hours, and then 1 incident of going crazy being stuck behind someone and flooring it to get around them kills my overall.

My '13 Ecoboost fx4 supercrew mostly gets 15 hand calculated. Sure I can get 22 if I reset the meter on the freeway at 60-65, but that drops quickly as I drive farther. My '12 Explorer v6 gets 18 average hand calculated. Sold vehicles - 2005 fx4 supercrew w/ 5.4 got 13 average. 2001 Lightning got 15 no matter what I did (I actually thought that was pretty damn good!). Ah well, I don't buy them for mileage luckily.

Only thing I have owned that gets what the sticker showed is my VW Passat TDI. 15000 miles and my overall hand calculated avg is 39.5mpg
