I typically will give people money just to get them to leave me alone. I've heard so many sob stories at gas stations or at work that I just tune them out now.

I was in downtown fort worth with a friend a few years ago and just left a restaurant, had leftovers with me, some homeless guy comes up to my with some bs story about needing money to buy food, starving, etc. I handed him my leftovers and he looks at it for a second, and asks "well, what is it?". I just shook my head in disbelief and walked off. Beggars can't be choosers doesn't apply anymore, I guess.

Ive been driving by a hobo at plano/bush this past week. Monday morning I had an extra chicken wrap and rolled my window and asked him if he was hungry. He said "I guess" and shrugged. Grabbed the box and didnt even say thanks. Fucker just wanted money. So fuck em and his overpass mansion.

My old neighbor knew this guy Dave who pan handles often at George Bush & Preston... I haven't seen him in a few years but my neighbor and him worked together years ago. My neighbor would pick him up from the corner and bring him over for BBQ's and let him stay a night.

Anyhow.. I remember a few years ago driving by and seeing him. I pulled over to offer and buy him food and he was more interested in a ride to my neighbors house.

I give him a ride, and.... he INSISTS on buying ME lunch and buying a case of tall boys.

tl;dr A homeless guy bought me lunch.

There is a "homeless" guy (who has a home) in a wheelchair that hangs around 3rd and Houston in downtown FTW who has admitted he makes $200 on a slow day, $500 on a good day thanks to the guilt ridden yuppies.
