They'll sell every one they make, that's why the price keeps going up. I'll never buy another new car when prices are high as giraffe pussy like this.

I was waiting for that, haha. They were also 13k MSRP. I understand you're getting a lot more car, but sheesh... that big ass price gap is a monster.

Sounds about right. I think it's worth every (extra) dime they're asking over the previous generation too.

305/300 isnt a slouch. I bet with the turbo torque will come on early and strong. I now wish I would have gone to the Ecoboost experience they had in Arlington this past weekend. I didnt think they would have a mustang there, but they did.

I was looking at Mustangs in 2002 and they were in the upper 25's sticker price for a GT premium, based on an assumed sticker price of $25,600 and a new 401A sticker, the price has gone up 51.25% in 13 years. It took from 1964 to 1976 to make the same percentage jump, but the difference was only 1205. source

The cost of a 1964 Mustang coupe standard ($2320) adjusted for inflation according to this is $17,742.16, a 1976 coupe standard priced at 3525 would be $14,686.80 today.

                    Cars are insanely overpriced.

I'm just wondering, but why do most of you guys prefer the EcoBoost over the v6?

305/300 ran a 14.3@99 in my cobra. Of course it was geared wrong, had 180K miles on it, and didn't hit the power till 4K RPM, but still.

Balls. That's a lot of money. I really dig that they're calling it a fastback though.

By the time the 16's roll around we'll be getting the same deals we got on the 12's and 13's. My 13' stickered at $37,520 and I got in it $32.2 on a Skip deal....that was in August of 2012.
                              Agreed.

To be fair, you get A LOT more in a car nowadays. I bet a 2015 with an anemic straight 6 with 120 hp and no power ANYTHING, no safety equipment, etc would still go for less than $18K, but nobody wants that. We have only ourselves to blame for having higher standards.

Edit: and the government for requiring a lot of expensive safety stuff.

Modability and kick-in-the-pants fun of a turbo would be my guess.

MPG is one thing. I drove an ecoboost fusion from new orleans to DFW, averaged 34mpg @ 85mph. That's insane.
